Sushant Singh Rajput death case: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar condemns quarantine of IPS officer Binay Tiwari
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday (August 3) condemned Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) choice to ‘forcibly quarantine’ IPS officer Binay Tiwari, who reached Mumbai from Patna on Sunday (August 2) to probe a case associated to the demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, and stated that Bihar police is just finishing up its responsibility by probing this matter.
Asseting that there isn’t a politics within the choice taken by Bihar police to ship a workforce to Mumbai to probe actor Sushant’s demise, CM Kumar stated that Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey will discuss to Mumbai police over this matter.
“Whatever happened to him is not right. It is not political, Bihar Police is carrying out its duty. Our DGP will speak to them,” CM Kumar instructed ANI.
Bihar Minister Sanjay Jha additionally slammed the BMC and stated that the choice to put Patna City SP Tiwari in qurantine is shameful. He added that Bihar police will take some concrete step on this matter on Monday.
Meanwhile the BMC has justified its choice and has blamed the media for misreporting the information. “The P/South Administration obtained info stating that the stated officer arrived in SRPF group 8 Guesthouse, Goregaon (East). Being a home air traveller, he must be guided for house quarantine as per the State Government Guidelines. Accordingly P/South ward workforce approached him on the stated guesthouse yesterday night (2nd August 2020).
