MHA issues new COVID-19 guidelines from December 1: What is permitted and what is not?
Amid the rising coronavirus COVID-19 instances within the nation, the Union Home Ministry on Wednesday (November 25) issued new tips with regard to the surveillance, containment and warning with the intention to curb the unfold of the lethal virus.
The tips can be efficient from December 1. As per the brand new tips, the states and UTs can impose native restrictions with the intention to comprise the unfold of COVID-19.
“States and UTs, based on their assessment of the situation, may impose local restrictions, with a view to containing the spread of COVID-19 such as night curfew. However, state and UT governments shall not impose any local lockdown (state/ district/ sub-division/City level), outside the containment zones, without prior consultation with the central government,” the rules mentioned.
The ministry mentioned that native district, police and municipal authorities shall be accountable to make sure that the prescribed containment measures are strictly adopted. State and UT governments will make sure the accountability of the officers involved on this regard, the ministry mentioned.

1. International air journey of passengers, as permitted by the MHA.
