BMTC to teach self-defence skills to women employees

In a bid to empower its ladies workers to be the custodians of their very own security, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is getting ready to show it ladies workers, particularly conductors, self-defence programs.

According to officers, the intensive sensible coaching of karate, judo, martial arts, gender sensitization, self-assertiveness, authorized information, counselling expertise, and public talking will likely be given to its workers.

There are greater than 3,000 ladies workers together with conductors in BMTC. Officials mentioned {that a} complete of 42 hours of self-defence coaching will likely be held in a interval of 21 days and every session will likely be 120 minutes lengthy.

It will be based on typical threatening scenarios that may encounter in everyday life and easy techniques to extricate themselves out of such situations using simple defensive and offensive moves,” it added
