New Delhi: The eighth version of the annual bilateral maritime train SLINEX between the Indian Navy and Sri Lanka Navy is scheduled off Trincomalee in Sri Lanka from October 19 to October 21. 

The Sri Lanka Navy can be represented by SLN Ships Sayura (Offshore Patrol Vessel) and Gajabahu (Training Ship) led by Rear Admiral Bandara Jayathilaka, the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Sri Lanka Navy. Indigenously constructed ASW corvettes Kamorta and Kiltanunder the command of Rear Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, will signify the Indian Navy. 

In addition, Indian Navy Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and Chetak helicopter launched into board the Indian Navy ships, and Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft may also be taking part.

The earlier version of SLINEX was performed off Visakhapatnam in September 2019.
